Dear friends,
I am getting regular calls about holding of DPC for the post of AC. No need to say that this is being delayed due to some legal implications. Also no need to say that every individual has right for legal fight for his/her cause and he/she also should get his/her legal right. But friends, we should also be careful that DPC is not stalled due to our own actions. I really apprehend that all vacant posts may be abolished, if kept vacant for very long. No need to say that we fought to get these posts like anything. The DPC's for the years 2014-15, 2015-16 & 2016-17 are already overdue and DPC for 2017-18 has also become due now. Our officers are forced to retire without promotion on an average of around 40 per month for the want of DPC. 49 more officers will retire without promotion in the month of January, 2017 itself. We met today with the MOS thrice to pursue/resolve the matter, let's see what happens. We are already in touch of our CBEC administration requesting regularly to resolve the issue.
Only appeal to our own officers is not to get any further stay on the DPC, otherwise there are fair chances of the vacant posts to be abolished on account of being vacant for too long. Everybody is free to fight legally for his/her right but with the utmost care that things are not stalled. It may be totally against the interest of whole cadre.
